Apostle Laurie D. Scott
. . . is a native of the state of Georgia. Her educational background and experiences are varied. She served in The United States Navy and Reserves and many say that her ministry is marked by a military style of leadership. She was affectionately nicknamed AThe Iron Lady@ by those with whom she serves. Apostle Scott has traveled and lived abroad as well as having resided in several states in the U.S. She is a Texas Board Of Governors Certified Belief Therapist from the Therapon Institute of Texas.
A few years after giving her life to the Lord, Pastor Scott began Evangelical study under the Apostolic Doctrine. Her pastors, noting spiritual gifts, growth and maturity recommended her for elevation to the office of Evangelist. She enrolled in The New Genesis Bible Institute of Brooklyn NY, and attended school through their satellite campus in the state of Georgia. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She served faithfully for many years at New Genesis Tabernacle of Praise under the pastorate of the late Rev. Richard A. Brown; as Amorbearer and Assistant to the Pastor until his home going in 1995. Upon the death of her mentor, it was prophetically confirmed that Evangelist Scott had received the AMantle@ of the man of God and was thusly elevated to the Pastorate. She began her Pastoral ministry assuming the leadership of the local church.
Two years later, Pastor Scott would heed a call for new direction and move to Tyler, Texas. In Texas, she was assigned and faithfully served as Pastoral Administrator at Aaron’s Rod Kathedral, “The ARK Of TYLER”. In the year 2000 she was appointed to facilitate the ministry as Senior Pastor for a season. Before moving forward from that season at Aaron’s Rod, Pastor Scott helped them to accomplish their vision of a new facility. She raised money and led the church in the construction of a two story Fellowship/Education Complex with meeting space. Task complete, Pastor Scott stepped out in the fall of 2003, leaving the church intact after 5 years of service. She then sat under the ministry of Rev RW Schambach’s Power & Praise Tabernacle until the birth of her vision in 2004. Having proven herself trustworthy with the vision of others and as an establisher and builder of ministry, Living Waters was free to be born. She continues today, as the Founder and Senior Pastor of Living Waters International Ministries housed in the beautiful Lakewood Center at 1730 NNW Loop 323 in Tyler.
Pastor Scott’s Pastoral Education and Licenses were obtained through the New Genesis Bible Institute of Brooklyn, New York, World Of Power Ministries, Tyler Texas and Kingdom Builders Ministries International, Tyler, Texas. Like Paul, Anot counting herself to have apprehended@ she continues her education, learning and growing in the field of ministry while remaining willing to assist others through wisdom gained. She is now a full time pastor with a heart for the community that she serves.
One of her recent accomplishments was to serve as the Executive Administrator of Kingdom Builders Ministries International, headquartered in Tyler under Bishop Dr James L Berry and Bishop Dr Mable L Berry; a relationship that continues today. Pastor Scott is in ongoing partnership with Gospel of Peace International of Brooklyn New York, to aid in the construction of a daycare and preschool in the Township of Jourberton, South Africa. She also has ministry friendships in Georgia, Louisiana, New York and Jamaica West Indies.
In 2005, this woman of God was anointed to the office of Apostle. This powerful vessel rightly divides the word of truth with an esoteric and revelatory style. She teaches with compassion and love for all of God=s people, bearing a word of hope and encouragement that bridges barriers and repairs breaches; as she proclaims, in the hour of need, GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE!
